Dr. Ronald K. Thompson D.D.S.
Dr. Thompson has worked and trained extensively to build a practice that exceeds your expectations of trusted, personalized dental care. He consistently brings his patients only the best that modern dentistry has to offer by keeping himself and his staff informed on the latest advances and available techniques.
He received both his Bachelor’s and dental degrees from The University of California at San Francisco. Dr Thompson has kept up-to-date on the newest developments in his field through numerous continuing education courses, including those in conscious sedation, infectious disease and infection control. He has been been providing outstanding dentistry for over 20 years. He also remains active in the dental community as a member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
In addition to patient comfort and satisfaction, Dr. Thompson’s priority is serving his community. He is an active member and past president of the Mesa West Rotary Club. A native Arizonan, he is proud to still reside in Mesa with his wife, Gina, and three of their four children. My interest in dentistry began 10 years ago when Dr. Thompson provided me an opportunity to work as a dental assistant at East Valley Dental Care. From this experience I knew dentistry was the career for me. Wanting to further my career, I continued to finish my schooling to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. So here I am, back working for the dentist who inspired me to follow my passion and I am loving every minute of it. I love working with Dr. Thompson because of his great sense of humor and honesty. I also enjoy working with the staff at East Valley Dental Care because of the family-like atmosphere and our patient-centered goals. What is the favorite part of my job? The answer would have to be YOU,my patients. It excites me to have the opportunity to aid you in your oral health, to get to know you and your families, and be able to provide you with the tools you need to make your smile a healthy one. I am dedicated to provide a positive, educational and fun dental experience for each patient that I see.
When away from work I enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I also like to travel and go couponing with our other hygienist, Tracy.
Lastly, it has been exciting working at East Valley Dental Care where I can be a part of a great team that strives for excellence in dentistry and customer service. It’s wonderful having a job where I can serve others one smile at a time.

I have been working as a Dental Hygienist at East Valley Dental Care for over 12 years. I absolutely love my job, the people I work with, and all of my patients. We are one big family! I chose to work with Dr. Thompson because he is an amazing dentist and he has a huge heart!! My mission statement is as follows: “As your dental hygienist, my commitment to you is to be truthful, educate and help provide solutions for your oral health. You deserve the highest quality of care and I will do my part to help keep your gum tissue and teeth healthy. I will assist you in creating a healthy and beautiful smile that will last a lifetime.” When I am away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, scrap-booking, and shopping.

I chose to work in dentistry because I wanted to do something that would help change people’s lives. I also knew that becoming a dental assistant would allow me the opportunity to help patients receive the highest quality of care possible and brighten their day with my compassion and cheerfulness! I am committed to extensive continuing education courses to expand my knowledge and enhance the quality of care you receive in our office.
My typical day at East Valley Dental Care includes being Dr. Thompson’s lead assistant, working chair side with restorative and cosmetic dental procedures , as well as having a great time working with our awesome team. I chose to work with Dr. Thompson because I can see that he is a caring person and he always chooses the best treatment for the patient. It’s obvious that he enjoys what he does! When I am away from the office, you can find me spending all my free time with my family and 4 beautiful children.

Your smile is your greatest asset. I came into dentistry many years ago after having a bad experience in a dental office. It is my goal to make patients comfortable, show them affordable payment options for their dental treatment and answer any questions they may have about their treatment. I feel so privileged to have this position at East Valley Dental Care. Outside the office, I love cooking, camping, going to the dunes, and animals. I have 5 dogs or as I like to call them, my fur babies.
